Cheengeri Hills Wayanad

The trail is beginner-friendly, featuring gradual slopes, open spaces to rest, and safety ropes along the steeper sections. The trek begins with a small hill, offering a perfect breather before heading to the main summit. Clearly marked flag points guide trekkers all the way, making the route easy to follow.

Along the way, you’ll come across striking rock formations and panoramic views. At the top, if the weather is clear, you’ll witness a breathtaking cloudscape along with distant views of the Karapuzha Dam, Kolagappara, and Manjappara hills. The area is windy, so stay alert and avoid restricted zones, which are cordoned off for safety. Cheengeri Hills is an officially authorized trekking location with basic amenities near the base. The best time to visit is between October and March when the weather is pleasant. Don’t forget your camera—and your sense of adventure!
